The start of 2020 SSP is shining a light on SHARE LIGHT!
My friends and I had the pleasure of hearing about this awesome movement to get God’s Word to people who have never heard God’s Word in their own language. Imagine never hearing God’s Word in a language you can understand. Ever. This can all change by the year 2033 with simple, small acts of local and global giving.

WHO:
The “Share Light” campaign was established in 2010 by illumiNations, a collective impact alliance of Bible translation partners and resource partners working together to eradicate Bible poverty in this generation.
HOW?
At $35/verse, $1,000/chapter, $420,000 for the New Testament, and $960,000 for the full Bible, this is how long we project it to take to translate the Word into the remaining ~3,000 languages. 3,865 LANGUAGES ARE STILL IN NEED. (39% Translated) It is a big goal. However, A collective impact alliance has been formed and is working together. Below is the total amount raised by 18-25 yr. olds that attended Passion 2020 held over New Years.

@louiegiglio interviewed Rebecca Deng (@rivkadeng), a child refugee of South Sudan’s Dinka tribe. She escaped the violence of her country in a refugee camp, and her life was changed once she had access to the Bible in her own language. “Our God is a God of language,” she said. “For you to help with Bible translation…is going to change somebody’s life. In my country, there are 65 tribes who don’t all have the Bible.”

To fulfill our mission and to reflect our core values, Deaf Bible Society ensures that the truth of God’s Word is clearly communicated in sign language videos with the Deaf community and culture in mind.
Deaf Bible Society funds and distributes Bible content in 25+ sign languages and counting. Today, no complete Bible exists in any sign language, but together with our friends and translation partners, we are working toward a world with God’s Word in Every Sign Language.
